SB 1689 86(R) - 2019 Under current law, local governments are authorized to create public facilities corporations (PFC) to help facilitate providing and financing public facilities on the local government's behalf. SB 1689 would authorize two or more sponsors to jointly establish a PFC. The bill would also authorize the transfer of funds between the sponsoring entities.Read More
SB 2083 86(R) - 2019 Under current law, certain property is obtained by units of government through a Public Use Agreement (PUA).  SB 2083 would update the date used to prorate the tax due to the seller so that the seller is not responsible for taxes after effectively giving up right to use or posses the land through a PUA but before the transaction is complete.Read More
SB 2345 86(R) - 2019 SB 2345 would provide an exemption from property taxes to property leased to a charter school that is used solely for that purpose. This is enabling legislation for the constitutional amendment proposed by SJR 74.Read More
